My name is Scott Hicks and I love everything about hockey.  Playing, watching, collecting…you name it.  I am passionate about the sport and that is why I created HockeyDen.  I will cover everything from cards and memorabilia to what’s happening in the hockey world to new products and equipment.  You name it, I will cover it. 

I have  been collecting hockey cards and memorabilia for over 20 years.  I have built up quite a collection including pieces autographed by Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr, Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, and many more.

I have met some of hockey’s greatest players including Martin Brodeur, Ray Bourque, Johnny Bower, Alexander Ovechkin, Pavel Bure, Steve Stamkos, and Mike Modano as well as future greats such as Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, P.K. Subban, Nazem Kadri, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Sean Couturier.

I have written articles for The Want List, a hockey collectible magazine.  I have also covered many hockey related events  including The NHLPA Rookie Showcase, The Home Hardware Canadian Hockey League/National Hockey League Top Prospects Game, and The Toronto Sports Memorabilia Expo.

I have made several guest appearances on a New York radio station (WGBB 1240 AM) covering the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs. Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, and Edmonton Oilers.

I have also attended some amazing hockey games through the years including Game 5 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Championship as well as the final game of the 2004 World Cup of Hockey (Canada won 3-2).  I hope to add some more to the list over the coming years.
